Bio

Brian grew up in the Catholic Church with the idea to become a priest, became entangled in a cultic college Bible study group with the idea to become a missionary, and enjoyed a brief journey in a Detroit area North American Baptist church, where he was baptized and considered learning to become a pastor. None of these came to fruition, however. Brian could be considered an almost-priest, an almost-missionary, and an almost-pastor. He has spent more than 20,000 hours reading and studying the Bible.

Brian is married to his beautiful and intelligent wife since 1994, and has four amazing children. Brian and his family currently reside in a metro Detroit community in Michigan. His full time job is currently a software engineer. Brian has participated in a VantagePoint3 Journey Cohort in 2013, an ACT3 Missional Ecumenical Leadership Cohort in 2014, and Matthew Vine’s Reformation Project Leadership Cohort in Washington D.C. in 2015.
